Quick Tip: Plan an easy & creative date night without the kids from Shine.
“Leaving the house without the kid (kids if you have multiples) becomes incredibly important for new parents because it gives the rookie mom and dad a chance to reconnect as a couple… And you don’t have to go on a fancy date and leave the baby home until the wee hours of the night.”
These ideas are great for all parents, new or otherwise. Visiting a cafe and bookstore or heading outside are ways to enjoy quality together time, without the kids. And if you’re looking for a way to plan date nights, check out springpad’s Date Night Planner, it’s a great help!

We swap babysitting with a friend once a month. It really helps us to not break the bank while going on a date.

That’s a great idea! We used to do something similar in my family before all of my cousins were grown up – the oldest cousin would watch younger ones so that people could go it.
