Pokens are these cool little gadgets hold your contact information (social sites, phone, etc) and allow you to share that contact info with people you meet at conferences, parties or just around town.
What’s great about a poken is that is has everything you would want to share at a networking event, and you don’t have to spend waste time staring at your phone trying to type in the exact email address, asking for the phone number again, or making sure you spelled their twitter handle correctly. Even better, you don’t have to type in business card info after-the fact. It’s all in your poken. We even put a video together showing just how easy it is.
At BlogHer 09 over the weekend, Alana, Katin & I each had a poken. It was fun to “poken” other bloggers as we met them at the springpad booth. Now, we just need to sync up out pokens with our computers & we’re good to go!
Does having a poken simplify my life? Heck yeah! It may even reduce my risk for thumb tendonitis and cell phone elbow.
