A good gentle dermabrasion product daily is great for your skin.Leaves your skin tone even and clears away all thse dead skin cels. I love Origins Modern Friction
Moisturize…it’s the key to looking radiant and having healthy young looking skin!
I would have to say remove your makeuo every night before going to bed–I think that some women are just to tired to do this important step every night–then follow with a moisturizer!
My advice is to look beyond the drugstore aisle for easy beauty remedies. Baking soda, for instance, is the best exfoliant I’ve ever used and that’s saying something
It’s cheap, it really works, and depending on your skin you’ll probable only have to use it once a week to keep your skin looking fresh and feeling soft
1) baking soda is a great inexpensive and natural teeth whitener
2) lip balm is a must
3) hand lotion to keep skin supple
Don’t be afraid to skip foundation. Most make-up irritates skin anyway and if you just take care of your skin by cleansing and exfoliating you save time getting ready. Making your own tinted moisturizer can be a good alternative as well. Just combine a little bit of foundation with your facial moisturizer. This can stretch its usefulness and give you coverage that isn’t harsh.
rarely do anything to my face, but I always moisturize/use sunscreen. I really like products that are tinted, to give the slightest bit of coverage, but still take care of you in other departments. Thanks!
Wash your face every night- otherwise you will have pimples like me and your 1 yr old will try and pick them, ICK.
Clean your face every morning and night. It makes a HUGE difference for your skin.
I have a Springpad account and I love it!!! It organizes all my lists and my blogging schedule.
Especially in the winter, my hands and lips are always dry and cracked. I love to use Satinhands and Satinlips from Mary Kay.
i so want this!!!! I am a real simple girl, just moisturizer mascara and lip gloss. My favorite trick to keep my skin firm is eggs… separate egg, first apply the yolk and let set for 10 minutes then rinse, then do the same with the egg white… leaves my face firm!!
My advice is simple. Get plenty of sleep and drink plenty of water.
Using a moisturizer every day is very important. Start while you are young. It will make a difference.
thanks for sharing

a tip: after cleansing and washing your face with warm/hot water, splash (really) cold water on afterwards to close up pores and then apply your moisturizer.
I don’t wash my face often, and I’ve always had pretty clear skin, so don’t want to change my routine! I never leave the house without moisturizer with an SPF in the winter and good ol’ sunscreen in the spring, summer + fall.
ALWAYS wash your face at night- and moisturize afterwards!
I massage olive oil on my body and leave it for 30 minuted before I take a shower.
This is really goofy, but if you use those toilet paper covers (you know – like the ones in public bathrooms you use to cover the toilet) on your face, it totally takes away the shine and sweat, WITHOUT removing the makeup.
Also, if Avacados are on special. I mash them up and put them on my hair for half an hour. Your hair will shine like you have never seen it before!
I don’t have a beauty regimen per se. I wear no makeup. Have not for 10 years at least. I like a skin scrub. I do the skin scrub occasionally.
Drink plenty of water!
Awesome! I love cosmetics and body care items. Thanks so much.
My tip: Exfoliate lips at least once a month. Get rid of dry lips by slathering on Vaseline and using a toothbrush to lightly scrub your lips. Wipe the Vaseline off and apply your fav lipbalm. Soft lips, works every time!
Use sunscreen!!!
Store your nail polish in the fridge so it doesn’t go bad (get sticky) as quickly.
Drink lots of water, brush teeth after every meal, and keep lips hydrated with yummy lipglosses! Also, make sure to moisturize before applying makeup, and Clinique’s All About Eyes is a must for those who lack sleep!
Lip balm is my beauty secret. It’s cheap and it works!
I’m not big on spending lots of time/money on beauty care, but as a 50 year old who’s been told I have great skin and look 10-15 years younger than my age, I can offer two suggestions: 1- Use Vitamin E Stick (it’s like a tube of lipstick)on your lips, under your eyes and on the creases that form under your cheeks when you smile and 2- Wash your face with good old Noxema. Easy, inexpensive and works like a charm!
I rinse my hair in cold water after my shower. I found that advice in an article once, and it really does make your hair shine!
My advice for people with oily skin is to use rubbing alcohol to neautralize the oil.
I use suave hair conditioner in my bath water for dry skin. It works better than any thing else I’ve tried.
Drinking water and getting enough sleep.. really make a difference for me!

Get enough sleep! That’s my Number 1 tip, you always look better when rested.
Get plenty of sleep, drink lots of water and use sunscreen! Thank you!
tatertot374@sbcglobal.net
I always believe that drinking lots of water and having enough sleep (at least 4 hours) are great ways to maintain good skin. I also tend to avoid salty foods; one because causes the face to bloat in the morning and bad for people with high blood pressure.
Eat lots of nutritious/healthy food, drink lots of water, exercise regularly, and be happy inside!
I set up a springpad account. I plan to use it for our household budget and storing receipts. Thanks for the tip about springpad!
Wash your face!! and moisturize! It’s very important!
drink plenty of water, eat fresh & healthy foods, and believe you are beautiful!
never rub your wet hair with a towel, blot it, dont rub your face either when its wet, just blot gently.
Most people should exfoliate every week for smooth and healthy skin. Most gentle ones are all natural. The one I use has 1 tbsp of honey, 3tbsp olive oil, and 1/2 a cup of sugar. Makes a great scrub
The key to looking good is confidence. Everything else is just a little extra to make you shine.
Moustrize every day and use sunscreen! Thanks for the awesome giveaway and the chance to win! Have a wonderful day!
diane@diane-anderson.com
My simple beauty advice: Add some shine spray to your hair to look a little glamorous!
Petroleum jelly, period. You can do anything with it! As a moisturizer, lip balm, smiling, and mix with any powdered make-up to make it creamy.
My best beauty advice: Smile!
Make sure ryou drink water every day and gets lots of sleep. Water can give your face a natural glow and help your hair. Also with plenty of sleep you will feel rejuvenated and no bags under your eyes!! Also try using household items. Also extra virgin olive oil is very good for making your skin feel nice and smooth and its great for your hair.
oops meant to say Also try household items like extra virgin olive oil*******
I use Vaseline to take my makeup off and to hydrate my skin.
I use moisturizer as often as I can and I try not to wear makeup too often so that my pores don’t get clogged.
Cetaphil cleanser. My only beauty secret.
My face gives me the most trouble. I’ve found that by using a gentle liquid soap (I use cetaphil too) before I go to bed, as well as a rough wash cloth to exfoliate, I can keep it looking pretty good.
baking soda as your scrub for your face. it is gentle makes an easy paste and is cheap too! just only do it once or twice a week.
ALWAYS moisturize your skin after cleansing it. Use an oil-free lotion that’s made for your face. This will help keep you young-looking!
Moisturizer is my secret. I always use it before I go to bed at nigth. Thanks for the great giveaway!
Rinse face and moisturize as many times a day as possible. The older we get, the faster our skin loses moisture!

Use aloa at night to mosturize its good for the skin.
I always wear a moisturizer with sunscreen
i say a good thing of shea butter is verry good for the skin please enter me in for this thanks
To brighten eyes, wear just a touch of mascara and sweep a sheer, white or cream shadow in the inside corner of the eye and under the brow…works like a charm!
Apply moisturizer to your face right after a shower (while the skin is still damp).
Invest in a good moisturizer!

My simple beauty tip is to always wash your make up off at night and to use moisturizer every night. I even put it on before make up if it’s a light enough moisturizer.
here’s a strange little beauty secret. you know those foot soaps the ones with pumas added. They work great on really dry arms and legs. They don’t scratch and they are cheaper than the body exfoliaters. You can get them for a buck at the dollar trees.
Thanks for the giveaway
A lot of people have already said to wash your face. Another tip is that you can just bring lipstick along and use it as blush to touch up your cheeks if its pink, red, or peach!
Jenny
Moisturize! Flaky skin is not pretty. I have this problem so I make sure to at least apply moisturizer even if I’m not wearing any other make up.
Thanks for the great giveaway. One simple beauty tip is to keep your feet looking great by moisturizing at night and sleeping with socks on, about once a week.
mnatherson at comcast dot net
I love Clinique’s 7 Day Scrub. I use about 3x a week, it gets rid of all the dry skin, and you can use it across you lips too! Something I learned is that exfoliating helps new layers of skin to show and helps minimize aging. You should go with an exfoliator that is right for you, but Clinique is gentle enough for my sensitive skin.
Always go to bed with a clean face. Don’t go to bed with makeup on.
I take care of my skin by drinking lots of water and wearing sunscreen every day.
Thanks for the chance to win!

I like to use a cheap lotion all over my body and then go back and put on a more expensive lotion (and to me, expensive is bath and bodyworks!) so I don’t use as much of the pricier kind!
Get plenty of sleep and drink lots of water!! monk5@charter.net

My advice is to keep it simple. You don’t need a ton of products to look amazing!
As an avid business traveler- you need your nails to look their best! I carry with my the travel nail polish remover pads, I pad takes of 10 fingers and then apply JetSet clear for a clean look. Chipped nails are not a good first impression!

This is one thing I came up with yesterday.
Put your make up on at home. Not in the car or waiting in the parking lot. Take your time at home in the morning, so you don’t look rushed or clumsy. It will help you look a lot better and give you time to focus on other things… like the road..

I have found that a $3.99 bottle of Tresseme Heat Tamer spray makes my hair look absolutely amazing on the days that I use a hair dryer and/or straightener. It’s cheap, take a few seconds to spray on, but adds a fresh scent and TONS of softness! And a good hair day = happiness!

When you di facials (oil blotters too), do not press down on your skin harshly while cleaning skin. Gebtly rub with your fingers on your face or get ab exfoliater scrubber(reccomended) to rub face. I love these tips, this website. I was looking for a way to get a dewy look (I am 48), and liked the way my face looked after I would have laser hair removal treatment, she uses “aquasonic” gel VERY liberally before the machine, and after, I used a tinted sunscreen cream to cover a red spot I had on my face that I figured had to be covered up after she took my make up off prior to the treatment. I called her, trying to figure out what gave me a younger, dewy, healthy look, if it was the Aquasonic gel or the tinted sunscreen (which is now discontinued)…does anyone know which would have given me this wonderful result? She gave me a sample of the gel, and I have been researching tinted moisturizers and sunscreens, and finding tips on here, for other “older” women that want that dewy, hydrated look – the mineral makeup that I brush on is a powder and only enhances my fine lines, unfortunately… Ideas?
I just now noticed how old this thread is (if that is what it is called). Do people still respond to these comments/questions posted? I wonder is anyone looks at this anymore…I found it by typing in something like how to get a fresh, dewy look in the search engine…
