Great article with great resources and tips! Another piece of advice I would offer, if you are doing a majority of the moving on your own, is investing in a lifting cart for heavy furniture. This way you prevent injuries and make the move much easier. I recently moved and having a lifting cart helped a lot. I got my lifting cart from a company called Cart Guy. I strongly suggest looking into this if you are planning to make a tedious move with heavy furniture.

A company that I used recently that I was really impressed with was Wheaton World Wide. Their site is very helpful as you work your way through the moving process. Their is a cost estimator on the site and the planning calendar is great so you don't get behind on packing and getting ready.
